Quick Start: Get Your First Writing Material Pack in 5 Minutes

You don't need to learn all the features upfront. Just complete these 3 steps to feel the core value of the Writing Starter.

Step 1: Connect Your Obsidian Vault​

Open the app and click "Connect Vault", then select your local Obsidian folder.

The system will automatically index your Vault's Markdown files in the background β€” usually done within a few minutes.

Your note files are never uploaded to our servers. Indexing happens locally, or through your own API key when calling an LLM.

Step 2: Try "Find Material for This Topic"​

Once indexed, type a topic you want to write about in the input box. For example:

  • procrastination
  • solitude and creativity
  • thoughts on career anxiety lately

Click "Find Material for This Topic". Within 10 seconds, the system pulls from your Vault:

  • Relevant note fragments
  • Old content you've likely forgotten
  • 3 angles you could write from

This is the Writing Material Pack. You're not out of ideas β€” you just needed to surface them.

Step 3: Try "Resume This Draft"​

If you have an unfinished draft that stalled out:

  1. Open that document
  2. Click "Resume This Draft"
  3. The system generates a progress summary, your original thread of thought, and one sentence to continue from

This is the Reconnect Pack. Every time you reopen a stalled draft, you can pick up smoothly.
